The EPAC Act of 2005 prohibits the manufacture of all old technology relating to T-12 fluorescents, and manufacture of T12 magnetic ballasts was discontinued in 2010. New T-8 and T-5 fixtures use electronic ballasts replacing the "old technology" magnetic ballasts. Electronic ballasts consume about half the electricity of magnetic ballasts. If your business has not yet upgraded its lighting, now is the time to act to avoid costly retrofits. Rebates are available now that can cover a large part of your costs.

Manufacture of T12 fluorescent lamps will be discontinued in 2012, as will the utility rebates for retrofitting T12 fixtures to energy-efficient T8 fixtures, so NOW is the time to act! We are proud to say that Vision Lighting ranked number 3  in energy reduction out of a field of approximately 600 companies working in Area 2, taking a total of 479 kW and 1,895,152 kWh in 2010 from the grid.
